Mark Kerbel
Founder, Chief Executive Officer & Chairman

Mr. Kerbel obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo. Most recently, Mr. Kerbel has served as an executive and founding partner of the SPi Group, one of Canada's leading software solutions providers for the retail energy sector. Mr. Kerbel has chaired and/or sat on a number of committees in the energy sector including the Electronic Business Transaction Standards Working Group of the Ontario Energy Board, the Technology Joint Sector Committee of the Ontario Energy Association, the Smart Meter Initiative of the Ontario Energy Board and the Regulated Price Plan Initiative of the Ontario Energy Board. Mr. Kerbel currently serves on the Board of Directors for the SPi Group.


Roman Kulyk
Founder, Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Kulyk serves as the CTO of REGEN Energy bringing many years of experience in the energy industry. He obtained his graduate degree in Computer Engineering and his undergraduate degree in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto. Prior to REGEN, Mr. Kulyk served as the CTO of the SPi Group. He has also served on numerous committees in the energy sector including the Electricity Power Research Institute's (EPRI) Common Information Model Committee, NERC (National Electricity Reliability Council) and the IT Standing Committee of the IESO (Independent Electricity System Operator). Previously, Mr. Kulyk served as a Senior Systems Software Engineer at ADMIC Controls, a local provider of Access Control and Energy Management Systems to large residential buildings. Mr. Kulyk currently serves on the Board of Directors of the SPi Group.


Chris Beaver
Executive Vice President

Mr. Beaver leads REGEN's Sales and Marketing efforts. Mr. Beaver obtained his B. Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from Concordia University and obtained his Instrument/Electrical Technologist designation from the Canadian Armed Forces School of Aerospace and Ordinance Engineering. He brings a wealth of energy industry expertise to the company. Previously Mr. Beaver led the design and execution of Canada's largest retail Conservation and Demand Management program for Hydro Quebec. Previously Mr. Beaver held a variety of roles with General Electric including Project Manager for the Bruce B Nuclear Generation Station, and International Marketing Manager for GE's power generation and transmission division. Mr. Beaver previously served as President of Kvaerner Energy Canada and President of OM Canada. Mr. Beaver currently serves on the Board of Directors of the SPi Group, and BITS Canada Ltd.
